Watch the TikTok dancer seize the second a burglar enters her residence

TikTok dancer Hannah Viverette was interrupted during a broadcast when a man broke into her home. The footage of the incident has now gone viral. Viverette was dancing alone in her Hagerstown, Maryland apartment when she noticed a man was opening the door from her balcony, which is on the second floor. The intruder, 36-year-old Angel Moises Rodriguez-Gomez, has been detained by law enforcement and charged with third- and fourth-degree burglary, second-degree assault, stalking and malicious destruction of property.

In the TikTok video, Hannah Viverette can be seen and asks: “Who are you? Who are you?” She can then hear him telling her Alexa device to turn off the music she was dancing to. “Am I your friend?” Asks Angel Moises Rodriguez-Gomez. “No,” she replies. “Are you sure?” he asks. “Yes,” says Viverette as she runs out the door with her cell phone to call the police. The video is pretty disturbing to watch, but luckily no one was injured.

Initially, Angel Moises Rodriguez-Gomez was arrested by the police to be released after leaving bail, which makes Hannah Viverette quite nervous. “The only thing law enforcement could tell me is that a lot has to do with the fact that he doesn’t want to put him in because of COVID,” Viverette said in an interview. “I just don’t think it’s fair that he’s running free right now. And I have to watch my back in every corner.” Following the above interview, Rodriguez-Gomez was taken into custody by the US Immigration and Customs Service ICE for violating immigration laws, as well as burglary, assault and other criminal charges.

Hannah Viverette says Angel Moises Rodriguez-Gomez was recognized after the shock wore off. “I’d seen him before, and it took me about three seconds to put it all together so that this is the man who’s driving his truck, watching me from my balcony and making progress on me,” she said. “At that moment, I just knew it wasn’t going to be good.” Viverette continued, “He kept his hands in his pockets, which initially startled me.” Nobody wants to have to confront someone breaking into their house and Viverette feared the worst. “Obviously the fact that an intruder was walking in, but he wasn’t going to take his hands off his hoodie. And I was worried he had a gun on him.”

Since the break-in, Hannah Viverette has been allowed to terminate her rental contract for her apartment by the property manager. Whatever the case, she won’t stop dancing on TikTok because of the situation. “He’s not going to take that away from me. Absolutely not,” Viverette said. “I will not live in fear.” Thanks to Inside Edition’s YouTube channel, you can watch the video above along with an interview with Viverette above.
