No sudden movement, TBD (post production)
Matt Damon has been the unofficial king of the cameos for the past few years. In addition to his aforementioned appearance in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot in 2019, Damon has made memorable appearances in Deadpool 2 and Thor: Ragnarok in recent years.
Damon has also made a handful of cameos in some of the films of longtime collaborator Steven Soderbergh and could hold another one with a report that will be featured in Soderbergh’s HBO Max film No Sudden Move.
Set in Detroit in 1955, No Sudden Move follows a group of petty criminals who have been hired to steal a simple document. However, when the job goes wrong they look to the mysterious party that hired them and learn about the much bigger game that they unwittingly belong to. Non-star ensembles include Don Cheadle, Benicio Del Toro, David Harbor, Amy Seimetz, Jon Hamm, Ray Liotta, Kieran Culkin, Brendan Fraser, Noah Jupe, Bill Duke, Frankie Shaw, and Julia Fox. Damon was supposed to be filming his role in two days last November, according to the deadline.
