UFC fighter Irwin Rivera arrested for allegedly stabbing his sisters

UFC fighter Irwin Rivera was arrested Thursday, January 7th, for allegedly stabbing his two sisters to death in Boynton Beach, Florida.

According to online records, the 31-year-old mixed martial artist was charged with two premeditated murders in the first grade. However, according to an incident report received from ESPN, he was charged with two attempted murders.

He was taken into custody without bail by the Boynton Beach Police Department.

According to the ESPN report, a 22-year-old woman and a 33-year-old woman were found alive with multiple stab wounds and were taken to hospital. The younger woman suffered wounds on her head, back and arm, while the older woman was stabbed in the face, back, arms and hands.

Documents show that Irwin fled the scene but was later arrested and confessed to the police: “I killed my sisters.” Police say the athlete who used a “brass knuckle” in the alleged incident told authorities he was coerced by a “higher power”.
