Ariana Grande has positioned itself in the Grammy nominations 2021! On Tuesday, November 24th, it was announced that the “34 + 35” singer had been nominated for best pop duo / best group performance for her feature film Lady Gaga‘s “rain on me.”
This year, the categories recognize musical contributions published between September 1, 2019 and August 31, 2020. With this cut-off, the Grammy winner’s latest album items, released on October 30th, have to wait another year.
In 2019, the 27-year-old star won her first Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for her fourth studio album, Sweetener. It was a bittersweet win for the artist, however, as there was a bit of drama going on behind closed doors, which ultimately resulted in Ariana not attending the awards show that year.
The pop singer withdrew from her planned performance days beforehand because she did not agree with the Grammy producers on which songs she would appear.
