The brand new season two footage of ‘The Witcher’ teases the monsters Geralt will struggle subsequent
As part of the Halloween celebrations on Saturday, the team for Netflix’s The witcher The new footage of the second season was neatly inserted into an otherwise nondescript clip called “Monster Mash”. The clip is by and large a highlight role of the monster Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) Faced in Season 1 While many of the beasts are familiar from their appearances in Season 1, there were two new enemies waiting to be discovered in this Witcher footage.
The clip featuring these two new monsters from Season 2 of The Witcher was shared on the series’ social media accounts and YouTube channel account on Saturday, also known as Halloween. Interestingly, different subtitles were released depending on where the clip was released, with all subtitles teasing new season two footage. On Instagram, the video was headlined, “This is not a trick, here are two tidbits.” On Twitter, the headline was, “Big monsters and small monsters, sharpen your swords and kill them all … if you can see them,” and Finally, the YouTube title told fans, “The white wolf [that’s Geralt] takes Halloween as a personal challenge. But keep your eyes peeled for some sweet treats … you won’t want to miss what’s hidden. “
If anything, The Witcher was far from subtle in its efforts to alert fans to the fact that new season two footage was embedded in this seasonal video delight.
The new monsters from season 2 are teased at the 0:15 or 0:30 second mark. At 0:15 seconds, you get a glimpse of a mass of hay or grass clotted with blood and guts (note the eyeball) sliding across the ground. Then, at 0:30 seconds, we see three skulls tied together, all wearing frayed clothing and jewelry, somewhere in a dark cave with light shining on. It makes you shudder at how these skeletons got into such a dark place. I am also curious to know who they once were and why they are shown to us. While exciting, these brief glimpses still don’t tell us too much about the types of monsters Geralt will face. Still, it’s fun to think about how they fit into season two.
The Witcher season two is expected to be released in 2021. You can refresh your monster memory with the Halloween themed Witcher clip below. For more information, visit Netflix in November.
