Skateboarder Ryan Sheckler describes the “Borderline Traumatized” after the MTV series
Ryan sheckler didn’t live his best life on the set of Life of Ryan, his MTV reality show that aired from 2007 to 2008.
More than 10 years later, the professional skateboarder accused the production team of naming his romantic relationships and manipulating them to get reviews. On Wednesday May 5th, Ryan opened with Graham Bensinger In Depth, Why The Series “Rocked” Him To The Core.
He said meddling in his relationships was “the last straw” for him. “This is already a very intimate piece of your life that you don’t want people to know or see,” he said. “So, we split up once and then the cameras are on, we split again, cut. Now the mood is really uncomfortable. And then, you know, they come up to me and say, ‘Hey, that wasn’t enough. We have to do it all over again. ‘”
Ryan, now 31, continued, “And so the show got into acting and it got like this thing where it was, ‘This is not what we signed up for and it’s not what it started out as. “
