In a new interview, his wife Micheline Roquebrune revealed some more details about the actor’s health is declining, revealing that the James Bond star is tragically suffering from dementia.

“It wasn’t a life for him. He couldn’t express himself later. At least he died in his sleep and it was just so peaceful. I was with him the whole time and he just slipped away. It was what he wanted … He had dementia and it took its toll on him. He got his last wish without fuss. ”

Roquebrune who was married Sean Connery since 1975, added: “He was beautiful and we had a wonderful life together. He was a model of a man. Without him it will be very difficult, I know. But it couldn’t last forever and he left peacefully.”
