Starting at 9 / 8c and on the Big 4 networks (as well as CNN, C-SPAN, Fox News, MSNBC, and PBS) Biden’s speech will mark the conclusion of his first 100 days in office and outline his legislative priorities. Tim Scott, Senator from South Carolina, will provide the Republicans’ answer.
According to NPR, Biden is expected to highlight his administration’s achievements to date, including a $ 1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package and breaking the 200 million vaccine dose threshold eight days ahead of the 100-day goal.
Additionally, POTUS is ready to set up its American Family Plan, which would raise taxes for the richest Americans, to expand access to education and childcare. and a $ 2.3 trillion infrastructure package that the New York Times said would also address climate change, racial inequalities and corporate tax hikes.
Regardless of how Biden is perceived, Tuesday’s speech will be one for the history books: for the first time, two women – Vice President Kamala Harris and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi – will sit behind the President of the United States as he speaks together Session of Congress.
