Pose Season three Replace: Which Scenes Can not Be Filmed Throughout The Pandemic?

The coronavirus pandemic has thwarted Pose’s most famous scenes.

In an appearance Live With Kelly and Ryan (embedded above), star Billy Porter revealed that although Pose is currently filming its third season, the show’s glamorous ball scenes haven’t been produced at once due to the number of cast members and extras required indoors.

“We’re still trying to figure that part out. We haven’t shot any of the balls, ”Porter announced on Monday. “We did the scene work and I think we are waiting for the ball sequences to hopefully shoot them in a vaccination situation so we can have all of these people in the room.”

According to Porter, ball sequences are scheduled to be filmed in 2021, although he did not specify when production of these scenes could or would start in the New Year. Meanwhile, the actor said he was “just grateful to be back at work” even with strict COVID protocols in place.

“It’s not the easiest version of making a TV show I’ve ever been on, but I’m grateful we’re back to work,” he added. “Disney is the parent company of FX now, and they took it really seriously, they took science seriously, and they protect us all a lot during this process.”

The final episode of Pose – the season two finale – aired back in August 2019, but the pandemic ultimately prevented any plans for the season three premiere in 2020.
