Injunction towards Diplo for allegedly distributing revenge porn

A restraining order against Diplo is being sought by a woman who claims the producer distributed revenge pornography pictures of her, reports The Daily Beast. Online records viewed by Pitchfork show that a motion for an injunction was filed against Diplo on November 16 in the Los Angeles District Supreme Court.

The woman is represented by the well-known lawyer Lisa Bloom. When Pitchfork reached them, a Bloom Firm representative shared the following statement from Lisa Bloom:

I am proud to represent a young woman on serious allegations of wrongdoing against Diplo. We checked their claims and spoke to several other women. We find them credible and brave. We recently filed for a restraining order to prevent Diplo or anyone associated with him from distributing revenge porn pictures of my client. This is illegal and is often done to deter prosecutors from coming forward.

When asked by Pitchfork, Diplo’s attorney Bryan J. Freedman stated:

Unfortunately, this person has been harassing my client and his family for more than a year and has repeatedly refused to stop. To be clear, my client has not broken any law in any way. In fact, he has made it clear repeatedly that he doesn’t want anything to do with this person – and that they simply need their ongoing family harassment to end.
