Daft punk‘s Discovery era will soon be rediscovered in a book in 2021.
Daft Punk’s Discovery: The Unfolded Future, written by a music journalist Ben Cardew, sums up the legendary duo’s most respected record and the story behind it. It is only about discovery as a global phenomenon – examines its musical impact and also how the album fits into popular culture.
The synopsis of the book reads:
Daft Punk’s Discovery is a record that looks to the future and likes what it sees. An album that predicted the electronic music explosion, YouTube, and the end of privacy as it brought soft rock back into fashion.
Daft Punk’s Discovery: The Future Unfurled features over 25 interviews, including exclusive, unreleased material with Daft Punk. It won’t be available until September 3rd, but you can pre-order a copy here.
The book was reportedly written before the duo parted ways. They went out with a bang in February, but their legacy continues.
