Burning man will soon make a decision on whether or not an event will take place in 2021.
According to the latest update from the Burning Man Journal, it is “too early” to know whether the community will gather on the Playa this year. However, the organizers aim to have an answer by the end of this month.
Burning Man has been extremely transparent throughout his decision-making process and remains so with the following statement:
“Sure enough to get ahead” is not the only consideration. Is this summer the right time to build Black Rock City together? What is the cultural and social impact of the BRC this year? Just because we are technically able to run the event doesn’t mean we should or will necessarily do it.
Burning Man hopes to be able to make a “go / no-go” decision by April 23rd – or April 30th at the latest. Until then, an update will be provided every Saturday.
The latest update from CEO Marian Goodell took place over the weekend, which can be streamed below.
